Program Success Stories

Tanisha Deans at CLiPS
Tanisha Deans was a member of the first group of Polymer Envoys at CWRU.  In May, 2008, she graduated from Glenville High School and from the Polymer Envoys program.  Taneisha enrolled at CWRU as an undergraduate majoring in Macromolecular Science and Engineering in the Fall of 2008.  Taneisha earned her Bachelor’s degree in May 2012.  She is now a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Macromolecular Science & Engineering at CWRU and is looking forward to becoming a mentor in the Polymer Envoys program.


Kevin Ma at CLiPS
Kevin Ma is a 2011 graduate of the Polymer Envoys program at the University of Texas.  He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Texas, where he also coordinates the undergraduate tutoring program.  During the summer of 2012, he closed the circle on his experience with the Envoys, by acting as a supervisor for seven research projects going on in joom.


Two Success Stories at CLiPS
Omeshia Moffat and De’Andre Stafford-May graduated from the Polymer Envoys program at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2011 and 2012, respectively.  They have both joined the Polymer program at USM as undergraduates and are continuing the research they started as high school students in the Envoys program.  De’Andre is also an award-winner, taking first place overall at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Region 1 Science and Engineering Fair in Spring, 2012. His work also garnered first place in chemistry, as well as the Army, Navy and Air Force Medals of Accomplishment.
